Jonathan Bridges, Interim Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer
Jon co-founded Velocity Composites in October 2007. Jon has over 25 years’ experience within the advanced composites industry and is an experienced composite engineer. Previously, Jon was an Aerospace and Lean Solutions Specialist at Cytec Process Materials where he was responsible for direct sales support of UK and European based clients. From 2003 to 2005 Jon was a manufacturing engineer for Safran Nacelles where he was responsible for the manufacturing function for a growing, highly loaded aerospace unit supplying multiple assembly lines. Jon was re-appointed to the Board as an Executive Director in July 2019.
Darren Ingram, Chief Operating Officer
Darren has over 26 years’ experience in supply chains and operations, whilst working for a number of complex engineering companies within both the aerospace and automotive sectors. Darren was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Velocity Composites in 2015 and runs the day to day engineering operations within the Company. Prior to Velocity, Darren has held the positions of UK supply chain director and Plant Manager for Kaman Ltd, Safran Nacelles and GE Aviation.
Chris Skinner, Chief Programmes Officer
Chris Skinner joined Velocity in September 2015 initially as the Regional Project Manager for the business growth in the South of England, and has subsequently completed further corporate development and international expansion activities. In June 2018 Chris was appointed to the role of Chief Programmes Officer responsible for all customer programmes, engineering, and product development. Chris was formerly an Army Officer with a 17 year career spanning a range of military capabilities and operations, and prior to joining Velocity he had a career in Financial Services delivering a global customer data programme for a top tier bank, managing an offshore operation in India and finally as Head of Operations for a UK Asset Management business.
Matthew Archer, Chief Commercial Officer
Matthew joined the Company as Chief Commercial Officer in February 2017 bringing extensive experience of the Defence and Aerospace sectors having worked for several of the world’s leading companies in those industries. Matthew previously worked for GKN Aerospace where he led the introduction of a global strategy for composite procurement across Europe, North America and Asia. Prior to this Matthew worked at Defence industry prime contractors and the UK Ministry of Defence.
Andrew Hebb, Interim CFO and Company Secretary
Andrew has been working with Velocity since November 2018 as part of an orderly handover from Alan Kershaw. Andrew has a wealth of experience having been interim CFO of a number of public companies. Since 2009 Andrew has been a professional interim CFO for several AIM listed companies including Inspiration Healthcare Plc and KBC Advanced Technologies Plc, and a number of private companies including KPMG and DST Global solutions, across a range of sectors. Prior to that, as CFO, Andrew helped build Hedra Plc into a major public sector consulting business and managed the sale process in 2008. Previously Andrew held CFO and operational roles in major UK companies. Andrew will not be joining the Board of the Company but will support the Board as Company Secretary. Andrew is a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA).
